Welcome to the Basildon RFC Ltd website.
We consider ourselves as being among the most welcoming clubs in the county. We are proud to be a community rugby club with a vibrant and varied membership! We have ‘mini', ‘midi' and ‘youth' teams for all ages and sexes, as well as senior men's and women's teams. Our 1st XV currently play in the London IV North East League, although the club has aspirations to move ever higher.
In addition to our playing membership there are many retired ex-players, supporters and enthusiasts who can be found in the club on match days. As is usual in most rugby clubs, these ‘Allicadoos' are always willing to share their ‘wisdom' with anyone foolhardy enough to ask for it, or, who were simply unfortunate enough to be standing next to them at the bar.
In terms of management and organisation, our club has followed RFU ‘best practice' and registered as both an Industrial and Provident Society, and as a Community Amateur Sports Club. We have an open constitution and have achieved the standards required to be awarded the clubmark Seal of Approval. We have policies in place for Equity and Anti-bullying and have Codes of Conduct for everyone involved in our club.
